Years of practice had made him a Master at his trade. His sword had tasted the blood of countless enemies. Now, he stares at the blade, the burden of their souls heavy on his heart.
Used an ad in an armourer's magazine as a model. Still have a ways to go, but getting better at portraying humans, I think. Any pointers?

The art is pretty good. The only thing that i can say is that the stomach area looks a little off. It appears to my eyes that its could be the folds of his shirt, or hes put on a few pounds. Hard to say. Hope this helps

:-) Laurita R. Williamson replies: "I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. I see what you are referring to, and also that the whole shape of the shirt along his chest is off. Thanks."

just one wee pointer and its one thing I always get wrong. The Left hand is way too small. try to remember that an open hand should always be roughly the size of the persons face. Remember that and you'll be flying- not literally...

Use photo references! There's no shame in getting friends and family to pose as models, or tearing out pages from beauty or muscle magazines. Nine out of ten professional fantasy artists always use photo references. You're a great artist now, but you'll be amazed at the improvement!

The face is good and its expression too. I agree about the shirt along the chest; it doesn't quite look as though it follows the line of his chest but on the arms, the fabric is great 1 Also, the left lower arm looks as though it's a little flat and almost curves upwards (it could just be me though). Oh, and, is he sitting or standing? At the moment his lower body pose isn't as good as the top. Oh, btw, LOVE the fire and stone; you are so good at backgrounds!
