'When you smell the unpleasant smell of a horrible and tortured death, beware of a death from the drow hiding in the shadows next to you, if you made him mad.'

coloured pencil on dark ground
I wasn't satisfied with the original scan, so I reworked it, and now reposted.

*first comment dance* Why is it no one has posted on this yet? It's a great peice. The lighting is great, and the colors are so dark, and deep, they really go with his expression. Good job! ^_^ Me likes!

As soon as I saw this drawing I thought of my favorite
character from Forgotten Realms Dark Elf series. I absolutly love it. If I had your talent I would draw the same things.

P.S. the gay hand and small tipped nose is a bit off too. Ears same size, but not pointed, lol

Well, you have the build right, now just add long dark hair and a bit more on the eyebrows, eyes a little larger, but color is correct and you have me captured in art, seriously.

Light and shade... good understanding of it. There is a slight problem with proportions again. I know there are some individual differences and this guy is not a human, but an elf, still main guideline is: eyes' line divides face in two equal parts. Any deviance to that will express something (haughtiness, oddness, elf-likeness etc.)The second problem is with the right elbow, If you watch the elbow, you would say, he is standing, if you watch the knee you would say he is sitting. I am not quite sure which is true and what could be done about it.

The garments are fascinating and your colouring is perfect for the topic too. I like how you used the darkness of the paper. Good job.
